FRAMINGHAM – Kathleen Frances “Kathy” Carter, 57, a lifelong resident of Framingham, died Sunday, October 22, 2017, surrounded by her loving family, after a long battle with cancer.
Born in Framingham, she was daughter of the late Walter “Babe” & Claire (McDonough) Carter.
She was a 1978 graduate of Framingham North High School.
Proud of her Irish heritage, she loved traveling to Ireland with her mother. She had an infectious obsession with music and was always looking to share her latest finds.
Over the years she worked for several local establishments including: Howard Johnson’s, Pewter Pot, Countryfair Star, and most recently, TJX Companies where she met the people who gave her strength, support, and kindness through her fight.
Carter is survived by two brothers, Rob of FL and Richard of Framingham, her sister, Nancy Martino of Grafton, her brother-in-law John Dwyer of CT, her sister-in-law, Patti Carter of Framingham, two aunts, Eleanor Pignone and Theresa Scata, one uncle, Henry Carter all of Framingham, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Besides her parents, Kathy was predeceased by her sisters, Linda Dwyer and Mary Carter.
Family and friends will honor and remember Kathy’s life by celebrating her funeral mass on Saturday morning, October 28 in St. George’s Church in Saxonville. at 10 a.m.
Interment will be private.
