FRAMINGHAM – A quiet, community candlelight vigil is planned for tonight, October 20 at Framingham Centre Common to honor Devin Suau, 6 of Framingham who died earlier today.
The vigil will start at 6:30 p.m. and should last less than an hour.
Everyone is encouraged to bring a source of light (candle, flashlight, etc.) as a symbol that Devin’s light still shines in all of our hearts. Green and #whynotdevin shirts are more than welcome.
Please be assured that this has been arranged with the knowledge and support of the Suau family.
Framingham had rallied around Devin and his family, hoping he would be the first to defeat DIPG, a rare brain cancer. The #WhyNotDevin was launched and went world-wide.
The community of Framingham has supported the family in numerous ways, from delivering meals to raising money to help the Suau’s with medical costs. Devin was even police chief for a day earlier this year.
