Selectmen Vote To Remove One Marijuana Question From November 7 Ballot

FRAMINGHAM – Last Tuesday, Framingham Selectmen voted to place two ballot questions about recreational marijuana on the November 7 election ballot.

Last night, Selectmen voted to remove one of the two questions from the ballot.

The second question was removed.

Based on an opinion by Town Counsel Selectmen voted to remove the ballot question that would allow the voters to decide whether they want to give the new City Council the power to pass ordinances regarding recreational marijuana retail establishments.

The first question approved last week will remain on the ballot.

It asks voters if they wish to impose the 3 percent local options tax on the sale of recreational marijuana in Framingham.
