1  Tonight begins Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year.

Temple Beth Am and Temple Beth Sholom in Framingham both have events scheduled this week to usher in year 5778.

2.  Framingham Public Schools will be closed on Thursday and Friday, due to the Jewish holidays. Families will have a 4-day weekend.



3.  The Framingham Conservation Commission is scheduled to meet tonight at 7 in the Memorial Building.

The Framingham Planning Board has cancelled its meeting for Thursday, Sept. 21.

5. UPDATED: This event was cancelled just after 6 p.m.

The Christa McAuliffe Library branch will host a program called identifying and dating family photos tonight with The Photo Detective Maureen Taylor tonight at 7.  The free 60-minute event is in collaboration with the Shillman House. The interactive lecture focuses on discovering who’s who in family pictures. You will learn 10 easy steps for naming those unidentified pictures tucked away in shoeboxes.
