NORTH DARTMOUTH – The Framingham State University women’s cross country had a strong showing Saturday at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth Cross Country Invitational.
The Rams top finisher on the 5K course was senior Mikaela Ranahan, who crossed the line in a time of 20:51 with sophomore Beatrice Donoghue not far behind at 20:59.
Sophomore Amena El-Sayed followed at 22:59 and Morgan Perry and freshman Eri Takahashi crossed the line just 10 seconds apart at 23:31 and 23:41. Rounding out the field for the Rams in the varsity race was Dana Arburr at 24:10.
The remainder of the women’s team competed in the sub-varsity races as teams were limited to just seven runners in the varsity race.
The Rams are back on the course on September 30, at the Tri-State Invitational hosted by CCRI.
