Over the past few months I have been thrust into the world of municipal campaigning.
One of the greatest benefits of this experience has been meeting so many wonderful people in our community and among them is Sheryl Goldstein.
Sheryl is a powerful advocate for our children’s individual needs and is able to look at the the school department needs on a macro level without sacrificing her understanding of the individual impact on each child. She is smart, she is measured in her words and she is compassionate.
The qualities of Sheryl speak to my wife and I as parents because we have had two children in the Framingham Public Schools who were considered high need at certain points in their educational careers.
Thanks to powerful advocates ensuring their needs were met, I have seen them achieve success beyond our greatest expectations.
We must make sure this level of advocacy is maintained so the next generation of children also have an opportunity for success.
She has the relevant experience and the understanding of the needs of our Framingham children under her belt, through her experience at the Framingham Special Education Parent Advisory Council.
As an advocate she knows the importance of being resourceful, understanding, and being able to work productively with a larger body of representatives.
I have spoken to Sheryl and I know she can handle competing needs with grace and wisdom.
The children in our schools will be represented with Sheryl Goldstein in the School Committee.
I encourage you to take a closer look at Sheryl and her plans for our children.
