Burgess Finishes First; Rockets and Wildcats Defeat Framingham

HINGHAM – The Framingham High boys cross-country team opened it season on the road at Wampatuck State Park in Hingham yesterday, Sept. 13.

The Flyers competed again both Needham and Weymouth High schools in the tri-meet.

Framingham High junior Ben Burgess won the 2.8-mile race in 14.29 minutes, 1/100th of a second ahead of Needham junior Cam McLeod at 14.30 minutes.

The Weymouth Wildcats defeated Framingham 26-29.

The Flyers also lost to the Needham Rockets.

Junior Zach Cohen finished the course in 16.02 minutes for Framingham.

Flyers senior Nathan Haberstadt in 16.28 minutes.

Sophomore Lucas Marshall completed the course in 16.41 minutes, with Framingham junior Ben Silver across the finish line at 16.51 minutes.


The Flyers are now 0-2 on the season.

The next meet is Sept. 18 in Newton.
