District 6 voters face an important choice for district councilor on September 26. We can remain with the entrenched interests and old ways of doing business or move forward to real constituent advocacy and proven leadership.
I am voting for Mike Rossi for District 6 Councilor.
1. Mike Rossi will be a full time representative and advocate for our district. As a retired engineer, he has no business, development, or financial interests tht would pose a conflict of interest. Representing us will be his only job.
2. Mike Rossi has pledged to be transparent, accessible, and accountable. He has walked door to door in many of our neighborhoods meeting residents and hearing our issues and concerns. Mike has an interactive website to provide information and assistance to his constituents.
3. Mike Rossi is caring and experienced. Mike has a long history of commitment to public service. He worked to preserve open space at Cushing Park from developers, protected homeowners from an Ashland developer’s proposed road extension through their neighborhood, preserved and protected the Stearns and Bracket Reservoirs, and instituted paramedic services throughout Framingham. Mike has also served in town government. In fact his experience, which encompasses budgetary matters, development, education, and the environment, is far broader and more extensive than any other candidate in the District 6 contest. Mike has been Chair of the Board of Selectman and the Finance Committee. He has served on the Capital Budget Committee and as a town meeting member. For the past 10 years, Mike has also served on the Keefe Regional School Committee and was Chair for the past 2 years.
For me the choice is clear. I want a Councilor in District 6 whose only job is representing his constituents, who is committed to public service and constituent advocacy, and who is an experienced, knowledgeable leader.
I am voting for Mike Rossi for District 6 Councilor on September 26. I urge you to join me.
