5 Things You Need To Know Today in Framingham: Friday, Sept. 8

1  Tonight is the home opener for the Framingham High football team.

Kick-off is earlier this year at 6:30 p.m. The Flyers will play the Mustangs of Norwood High.

No backpacks will be allowed inside Bowditch Field.

Admission is $5 students and $7 adults.

The Class of 2018 is selling a season pass card for admission to football and various other Flyer athletic and arts events. Click here for more details.

Stay at least for halftime to check out the award-winning Framingham High marching band.


2. OTHER FLYERS in action:

  • Framingham High girls volleyball will host Natick High at 4 p.m. at the high school gym. The girls are 0-2 this season.
  • Framingham High girls swim & dive team will host Boston Latin at 6:30 p.m. at Keefe Technical’s pool. The girls are 1-0 this season.



3.  MUSTANGS in action:

  • Marian High girls volleyball will host Cathedral at 4 p.m.

5.  PLAN AHEAD: The League of Women Voters Framingham Chapter will hold a forum with the seven mayoral candidates and the five at-large city council candidates on Saturday, Sept 9 from 1 to 4 p.m. at Nevins Hall in the Memorial Building. The public is invited to the free event. The district city council candidates have all been invited to attend, and may speak for less than a minute.
