Marguerite (Bengiovanni) Pariani, 89

FRAMINGHAM — Marguerite R. (Bengiovanni) Pariani, 89, died peacefully at home on Thursday, Aug. 31, 2017.

A longtime resident of Framingham, she was the beloved wife of Donald J. Pariani and loving mother of Dawn Ann.

Born on Nov. 16, 1927, in Framingham, Mrs. Pariani was the youngest of nine children of the late James and Carmella (Mazzaro) Bengiovanni.

A 1945 graduate of Framingham High School, Pariani worked in the business office of Roxbury Carpet.

She was later employed as a payroll administrator for the Framingham School Department for more than 20 years.

For many years following retirement, Pariani was a winter resident of Deerfield Beach, Florida, where she and her husband owned a second home.

She was a devoted wife, mother, aunt, and friend who cherished spending time with those she loved. An extraordinary cook, she especially enjoyed preparing Italian meals from recipes passed down from her mother and mother-in-law.

Pariani was a second-generation participant in the Framingham Heart Study.

In addition to her husband of 62 years and daughter, Mrs. Pariani is survived by a sister, Josephine Jez of Chicopee, and many nieces and nephews. She also leaves a dear sister-in-law Marrijane Tredeau and her husband Harris of Dennis and dear friends Ada Pinchook and Shirley Vahey of Framingham.

She was predeceased by her brothers James, Carlo, Thomas and Louis Bengiovanni and sisters Anna Nicoloro, Janet Judkins and Rosalind Laincz.

The family wishes to thank hospice caregivers Margaret Davis and Elizabeth Martino as well as the friends and relatives who provided care and comfort to her in her last days.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 5 at St. Tarcisius Church in Framingham.

Burial will follow at St. Tarcisius Cemetery, Framingham.

Visiting hours will be held Tuesday from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Norton Funeral Home, 53 Beech Street in Framingham.
