Born in Boston, he was the son of the late Anthony & Angeline (Cellucci) Cedrone.
He was raised in Brighton and moved to Framingham almost 60 years ago where he raised his three sons.
A decorated WWII Army Veteran, he was a member of the 188th Parachute Infantry serving primarily in the Pacific Theater during WWII.
He is survived by his wife Dorothea (Machiner), his sons, Robert H. & his wife Penny of Bellingham, Jay S. of Framingham, and Terry L. of Framingham, and three grandchildren, Danielle, Kyle and Hannah. Besides his parents, Amato was predeceased by his sister Bruna, and his brother Peppine.
Family and friends will honor and remember Amato’s life by gathering for a graveside service in Calvary Cemetery, 250 High St., Waltham on Tuesday morning, August 22 at 10 a.m.
