5 Things You Need To Know Today in Framingham: Tuesday, August 8

1 The Callahan Center will be hosting a presentation on the life of late Frank Sinatra tonight at 6 p.m. The event is for those age 55+. The presentation will “[begin] with the start of Frank Sinatra’s singing career in the 1930s, [and explore] his meteoric rise to fame in the early 1940s, his fall from grace later in that decade, and his historic comeback in the 1950s.” The presentation will be given by Bruce Hambro. Hambro is a music and film historian, a former film salesman for the Walt Disney Company, and the owner of his own music industry firm.

2. The Framingham Parks & Recreation’s co-ed swim team will travel to Natick tonight looking for its 10th win of the season. The Framingham Frogs are undefeated at 9-0.

3.  The Framingham Zoning Board of Appeals is scheduled to meet tonight at 7 in the Blumer Community Room in the Memorial Building.

4.  Sparky’s Puppets will present the Three Little Pigs at the Christa McAuliffe Library Branch today at 2 p.m. The performances is for ages 4-plus.
