BRADENTON, FLORIDA – Michael Patrick Hanna, 76, beloved husband and father, and a resident of Florida for nearly 12 years, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Thursday July 27, 2017 in Bradenton, Florida.
He was the husband of Elsa (Mesquita) Hanna with whom he shared more than 21 years of marriage.
Born in Natick, he was the son of the late Kenneth and Florence (Bacigalupo) Hanna.
A graduate of Babson College, he traveled extensively in Europe and attended art school in Italy.
An accomplished chef, he learned primarily from his Mom and published a cookbook titled: “3 Dozen Reasons To Be An Italian,” refining his culinary skills throughout his travels.
He was affiliated with his family’s business, Ken’s Steak House in Framingham, and its Finale Room and will be remembered as a culinary master, an artist, and for his humor and warm heart.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children and their partners: Jennifer and Steven, Stephanie and Jackie, Erin and Dale; his grandchildren: Maxx, Hanna, Jake, Ryan, Russell and Alexa; his siblings: Connie Shay and Tim Hanna, and his former spouse: Susan (Generazio) Hanna. He was the father of the late Kenny Hanna and brother of the late Mark and Richard Hanna.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday Aug. 3 at 9 a.m. at St. Bridget’s Church, 830 Worcester Road in Framingham.
Burial will follow in Edgell Grove Cemetery in Framingham.
