FRAMINGHAM – While concert goers have come to expect Centre Pizza, and booths from the Rotary Club of Framingham and Fountain Street Studios lining the walkway of the Concerts on the Common during the summer on Friday nights; this year, as Framingham moves from a Town to a City, lots of candidates seekinga spot in the new City of Framingham government have booths at the Framingham Concerts on the Common.
Last night, five of the seven mayoral candidates were at the Common trying to get the ear of attendees along with the band performing. There were also several City Council and School Committee candidates at the Common.
Call it Candidates Row or Politician Way, residents can expect to see more of these booths, and more candidates, as the preliminary election gets closer.
Voters will head to the polls on Sept. 26 to narrow the number of candidates in several races, including mayor.
The first City of Framingham election is set for Tuesday, November 7. Click here to see who is on the ballot.
