Sisters in Crime Awards Framingham Library $1,000 Grant

FRAMINGHAM – Sisters in Crime, a nationwide organization formed in 1987 to promote the development of women crime writers, awarded a $1,000 “We Love Libraries” grant to the Framingham Public Library.

Three mystery loving librarians submitted the creative photograph (pictured)  for the grant, which aims to recognize the role libraries play in supporting the work of women mystery writers.

To celebrate the receipt of the grant the Framingham Public Library will host a Brown Bag program on Friday August 4, featuring a small panel of mystery writers from the Sisters In Crime membership who will talk about the writing process. Authors scheduled include Susan Oleksiw, Lisa Lieberman and Carolyn Wilkins.

The Brown Bag is always held at the main Framingham Library at noon on the first Friday of the month.
