FRAMINGHAM – Benjaman Neves-Grigg, Sr. is happy to announce that his signatures have been certified and he will be on the ballot for Mayor!  Thank you, the great people of Framingham, for your help.

Ben, is a 64-year-old, 28-year resident of Framingham. Shortly after honorably retiring from the U.S. Marines with almost 21 years of active service he joined the Framingham Police Department as a sworn police officer and crash-reconstructionist.  He served the citizens and Town of Framingham for nearly twelve years, taking an early retirement in 2006 and moving his training and experience to Iraq as a US State Department Contractor to train the Iraqi National Police in democratic policing.  After taking a break he accepted another position training the Afghanistan National Police as a Contractor for the US Department of Defense.

Ben, is married to a Brazilian-American, Rose.  They have eight adult children with twelve grandchildren.  He is a solid leader who stands by equality; Understanding, compassion; knowing a leader must listen.  Consistently worked with a culturally, diverse personnel in every position he has held, often the leader.  Prides himself on performance driven recognition and reward.  Steadfast in maintaining progress he believes the future offers us the brightest opportunity if properly cultivated.  His tactful, tenacity will prove valuable in restructuring the city’s internal organization.

His vision is to move the City of Framingham forward as the most desirable city in the Commonwealth with an equal voice for all, great schools, supportive public services and incentives for small business.  A City that treats every citizen and visitor with respect regardless of nationality, race, gender or cultural background. With the increase in new homes, condos and other dwellings Framingham’s population has increased and we must address the impact this growth and increased traffic may have now and in the future while holding ourselves to a tight budget.  I am ready to make tough decisions with your dedicated City Counsel. Please choose them wisely, new leadership for a new city. By continuing to develop strong public services through positive citizen oriented leadership each city department/office will provide services that are efficient and equal for all.  I will conduct a review of all bylaws as they are re-written into ordinances to ensure they provide necessary protections and respect.

We must also recognize that no one and nothing is perfect.  Change is always difficult and town-to-city will be no exception.  We must be honest and expect that as we progress Framingham into the fantastic future we will meet obstacles and opposition.  However, without hesitation Neves-Grigg will overcome obstacles that prohibit the advancement of Framingham.  He will listen to opposition while negotiating to achieve an acceptable collaborative end-plan that accomplishes the mission.  It is all a matter of compromise, understanding and respect.  I look forward to meeting each of you in my travels around Framingham.

Please vote for Ben NEVES-GRIGG, Mayor, Tuesday, September 26, 2017.

Thank you!

Benjaman Neves-Grigg, Sr.
