FRAMINGHAM – A Florida hotel developer wanted to build a 6-story Hilton Garden Inn Hotel on Route 9, at the site of the former Saab City dealership.
FPG Development Group informed the Town of Framingham last month it wants to demolish the existing building and construct a 152-room hotel at 1800 Worcester Road.
The project would require Framingham Planning Board and Framingham Zoning Board of Appeals approval.
The 1.2-acre property is currently owned by Faneuil Investors Group out of Milton.
The project may also require approval of the Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) because of its proximity to the Mass Pike.
