5 Things You Need To Know Today in Framingham: Friday, June 9

1 Amazing Things Arts Center is hosting a tribute to the late Harry Chapin tonight. Music starts at 8 p.m. Tickets will be sold at the door.

The show features Satinwood, a unique 7-piece group, including Howard Field, an original member of Harry’s band, on drums. Tickets are $20 for members, $23 for non-members, $22 for students and seniors, and $11 for children under age 12.


2. Team Framingham 2017 Raised $82,423 for 6 Charities.



3. The Framingham High boys baseball team lost to Bridgewater-Raynham in the semifinals of the Division 1 South tournament last night. The 5-0 loss ends the Flyers season.



4. Framingham High School’s Musical Theatre class will hold its show tonight at 6:30 at the school’s auditorium.


5. Last week, Framingham artist Marjorie Anderson opened Jorie Designs Gallery & Gifts on Boston Post Road in Marlborough. The business features a gift shop and gallery.

The opening exhibit at the gallery features works by Anderson as well as Framingham artist Cathy Gruetzke-Blais, and artists Jeff Poole and Carlos Felipe Zamora. Tonight there is a reception at the 1017 Boston Post Road from 6 to 10 p.m., that will also showcase “revamped guitars and drums” from Patino Vazquezof Fireseed Arts.
