Ann ‘Nancy’ (McGrath) Ahearn, 85

FRAMINGHAM – Anne M. “Nancy” (McGrath) Ahearn, 85, a longtime resident of Saxonville and Holliston, passed away Sat. June 3, 2017 after a long illness.

She was the beloved wife of the late John K. Ahearn who passed away in 1993.

Born in Framingham, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Ethel (Black) McGrath.

A graduate of Framingham High School with the class of 1950, she was employed from 1951-1983 by New England Telephone and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers.

Mrs. Ahearn loved gardening, reading, music and trips to Martha’s Vineyard, but she will be best remembered by her children and grandchildren as a cherished and caring mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her children: Linda A. Phillips of Hopkinton, Michael T. Ahearn, Stephen F. Ahearn, Diane M. Bosworth & her husband John Carr and John K. Ahearn, all of Framingham; five grandchildren: Jason J. Bosworth, Jerry R. Bosworth, Jennifer A. Phillips, Nicole L. Ahearn and Ryan M. Ahearn; 6 great grandchildren: Tyler Burdette, Jordyn Ramos, Ryder Bosworth, Logan Brown, Josie Bosworth and Cameron Bosworth; 3 siblings: Ralph McGrath of Marlborough, Ellie Roberts of Fla., and Jack McGrath of Wrentham; and many nieces,nephews and their families. She was predeceased by her brothers Leonard and Kenneth McGrath.

Visiting hours are Thursday June 8 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Boyle Bros. Funeral Home, 173 Union Ave., Framingham.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday June 9 at 9:00 a.m. at St. George’s Church, 74 School St., Framingham (Saxonville).

Burial will follow in St. Stephen’s Cemetery, Fenwick St., Framingham.
