Born in Waltham, she was the daughter of the late Paul & Catherine (AuCoin) Poirier, and the wife of the late Charles Daniels.
She was raised in Waltham and Cheticamp, Nova Scotia before settling in the MetroWest area.
She was a librarian at Raytheon in Wayland for many years.
She is survived by her sons, Ronald P. & his partner Barbara Millett of Westborough, and Kenneth of Marlborough, her daughter-in-law, Nancy of Natick, her son-in-law, Roy White of Mendon, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, her half sister and brothers, Pauline Fraser, Gordon Poirier, and Andrew Poirier & his wife Marie- Helene of Cheticamp, Nova Scotia. Evelyn was predeceased by her daughter, Patricia Hayes White, her son, Kevin, her daughters-in-law, Susan and Kerry, her grandson, John Hayes, her siblings, Joseph and George Poirier, Dorothy Whalen, Mary Fasulo, Genevieve Barton, and several step brothers and sisters.
Family and friends will honor and remember her life by gathering for visiting hours in the McCarthy, McKinney & Lawler Funeral Home, 11 Lincoln St., Framingham on Sunday, June 4 from 2 to 5 p.m.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday morning in St. Stephen’s Church in Framingham at 10 a.m.
Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Waltham.
