FRAMINGHAM – Hemenway Elementary School held its Annual Spring Fair over the weekend.
Proceeds from this Hemenway PTO-sponsored fundraiser help support and provide enrichment for all Hemenway students. This includes but is not limited to field trips, assemblies, technology equipment, and scholarships.
Hemenway parents, teachers, and staff ran various activities at the fair including inflatable obstacles and houses, carnival style games, and the always popular cake walk. Supersonic Sarah from the Boosterthon Fun Run team made a special appearance and challenged the kids to a hula-hoop contest. Everyone was a winner!
Hemenway students could sign up to participate in many special activities that will occur before the end of the school year. Teachers and staff volunteered to sponsor events such as Ice Cream Socials, Game Days, and Mystery Science Day. Some lucky students will even be the Principal, Assistant Principal, PE Teacher, and Art Teacher for a day.
At the conclusion of Sunday’s fair, everyone gathered in front of Hemenway for the annual Golf Ball Drop.
Volunteers from the Framingham Fire Department raised a ladder high above Hemenway and dropped 70 plus golf balls on the front lawn. Prizes were awarded for the three golf balls closest to the pin.
Thank you to the generous families and businesses who helped make this event a success.
Food was donated by FPS Food Services, CJ’s Northside Grill, and Petros Pizzeria & Grill.
Over 20 raffle items were donated by Hemenway families and local business including Title Boxing Club, Elements 3 Yoga, Shen’s Gymnastics Academy, Piccadilly Players, Nobscot Convenience & Spirits, Angry Ham’s Garage, True Happiness Design Jewelry, Bravo Baskets, Rockin’ Rays Custom Wood Art, and Trader Joe’s.
