PHOTOS: Memorial Building Turns Green For #WhyNotDevin

FRAMINGHAM – Today is the first-ever DIPG Awareness Day in Massachusetts.

And tonight, the Memorial Building was a glow in green to bring awareness to the disease and to support Framingham’s Devin Suau.

The Memorial Building was one of dozens of buildings and bridges across the Commonwealth that was glowing with green light to honor the youngest of Christine and James Suau’s four sons. Other buildings included the Zakim Bridge, City Hall Plazza, Prudential Tower, North Station and Government Center.

Also tonight, the community was asked to come to the Memorial Building at 8:15 p.m. to mark DIPG Day. The event was organized by Framingham resident Haley Dutchka.

Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker declared today DIPG Awareness Day earlier this month, when he met the Suau family of Framingham.

The Suau family was unable to see all the support first-hand as they are in London hoping for a miracle treatment for Devin. He is scheduled for surgery on Sunday.
