SLIDESHOW: Volunteers Place Flags On Veterans’ Graves at Edgell Grove Cemetery

FRAMINGHAM – Saturday morning, the largest group of volunteers ever replaced more than 2,500 flags on the graves of Veterans at Edgell Grove Cemetery in Framigham.

Families, Boy Scouts, Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts, and even a large family reunion crowd, helped with the task this year.

Some years, the task of replacing the flags has taken 2-3 hours at Edgell Grove Cemetery. Yesterday, it was completed in about an hour.

”With all the hills at this cemetery and thousands of graves, youth and enthusiasm gets the job done,” said Framingham Veterans Agent Peter Harvell.
