Rosemary (Melanson) Hanna, 94

FRAMINGHAM – Rosemary M. (Melanson) Hanna, 94, a longtime resident of Framingham, died peacefully at her home on Wednesday, May 3, 2017.

Born in Bellingham, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Kathryn (Nelligan) Melanson.

She grew up in Milford, attending St. Mary’s of the Assumption Parochial School graduating in 1941.

She is the wife of 71 years to Paul C. Hanna, Jr. Besides her husband, she leaves four sons, Paul, Kim, Craig and his wife Cindi, and Neal; and one daughter Beth. She also leaves three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her daughter Devon, grandson Sean and daughter-in-law Donna.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a time of visitation on Monday, May 8, 2017 from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at the Norton Funeral Home, 53 Beech St., in Framingham followed by a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. George Church, 74 School Street, Framingham.

Burial will follow in Edgell Grove Cemetery, Framingham.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to the Make a Wish Foundation MA and RI, One Bulfinch Place, 2nd Floor, Boston, MA 02114. Making a child’s wish come true was her greatest joy.
