Update: This event has been postponed until a later date.
FRAMINGHAM – Sudbury Valley Trustees is seeking volunteers to help prepare the South Framingham Community Garden for the upcoming growing season.
In 2011, the Trustees partnered with Framingham’s Agricultural Advisory Committee and its Department of Parks and Recreation to create a community garden on Pratt Street, owned by the Town, in the heart of South Framingham.
On Saturday, April 29, from 3 to 5 p.m., volunteers will help garden manager Maria Martinez re-align garden plots, remove grass and weeds, turn the soil, and add compost. Please bring work gloves and a hammer, if you have one.
The South Framingham Community Garden is located at 48 Pratt Street in Framingham.
Registration is required to participate at www.svtweb.org/calendar
The Sudbury Valley Trustees is a regional land trust, protecting and caring for land and wildlife habitat in 36 communities surrounding the Concord, Assabet, and Sudbury Rivers.
