FRAMINGHAM – The home opener for the Framingham High girls lacrosse team Monday was against rival Natick High. But no matter who won the game, a Flyer could celebrate.
Both team have new head coaches, and both are former Framingham High alumni and 2010 graduates. Natick is coached by Tanner Guarino and Framingham is under the direction of Jamie Schiloski. Schiloski and Guarino were star players for the Flyers, during a run of state championships for Framingham.
Unfortunately for Framingham, Natick won 13-7.
Framingham has just two seniors on its squad this season, captains Bella Tersoni and Hannah Rose.
Rose scored four of the Flyers seven goals.
Red Hawk Meg Rodino had four goals for Natick, along with three goals by Annika Streeter.
Framingham sophomore goalie Hannah Carol made 16 saves in the loss.
Next up for Framingham, if the weather holds ups, is a home game against Reading High Wednesday.
