FRAMINGHAM – A winter storm watch has been issued by the National Weather Service for Friday morning, March 31 into Saturday afternoon, April 1, by the National Weather Service.
The watch includes Framingham and MetroWest.
The forecast is now calling for 4 to 8 inches along with 0.1 inch of ice, plus snow sleet and freezing rain.
The snow is expected to start Friday morning and may mix to to sleet and freezing rain by Friday night.
Precipitation will be heavy at times, including Friday night, says the alert from the National Weather Service in Boston.
The weight of the heavy snow may impact tree limbs and power lines. Scattered power outages are possible.
A Winter Storm Watch means there is a potential for significant snow, sleet, or ice accumulations that may impact travel.
