FRAMINGHAM – Hollywood stars are in Framingham today, March 29, filming a movie sequel.
Mark Walhberg is back in the ‘ham for his third movie in five years; and this time he brought along Mel Gibson and Will Ferrell.
Ferrell and Wahlberg are filming the movie Daddy’s Home 2 in the Commonwealth.
Scenes are being filmed today in Framingham on the aqueduct near Potter Road. Stars spotted today in Framingham include Walhberg, Gibson, Ferrell and John Lithgow.
Trailers are parked at Nobscot Plaza.
Walhberg filmed scenes from Ted 2 and Patriots Day previously in Framingham.
Filming of the movie Daddy’s Home 2 is happeneing in Wellesley this week, too. More filming is expected to take place in Framingham at two schools during April vacation.
Daddy’s Home, which came out in theatres in 2015, ia a comedy about a biological dad and stepdad battling for the love of a family, with Ferrell playing the nerdy stepdad and Wahlberg the tough guy biological dad.
The sequel, according to movie site IMDB, also stars Linda Cardellini, Gibson, John Cena, and Lithgow. The movie is scheduled to be released in November, and is expected to include a holiday theme.
