Sequel to Daddy’s Home To Film in Framingham

FRAMINGHAM – Mark Walhberg may be coming back to Framingham for the third time to a film a movie this week.

The sequel to Daddy’s Home, starring Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg.

Walhberg filmed scenes from Ted 2 and Patriots Day in Framingham within the last 5 years.

Filming of the movie Daddy’s Home 2 is happeneing in Wellesley this week, and is expected to take place in Framingham on March 29, weather permitting.

This is why there are trailers at Nobscot Plaza. Filming of the movie took place in Great Barrington last week. Filming this week in Framingham is expected to take place near the aqueduct in Nobscot and Potter Road.

More filming is expected to take place in Framingham at two schools during April vacation.

Daddy’s Home, which came out  in theatres in 2015, ia a comedy about a biological dad and stepdad battling for the love of a family, with Ferrell playing the nerdy stepdad and Wahlberg the tough guy biological dad.

The sequel, according to movie site IMDB, also stars Linda Cardellini, Mel Gibson, John Cena, and John Lithgow. The movie is scheduled to be released in November, and is expected to include a holiday theme.
