UPDATED: Framingham High Percussion Ensemble Wins Gold Medal

DUDLEY – The Framingham High percussion ensemble captured first place at the New England Scholastic Band Association competition over the weekend at Shepherd Hill Regional High School.

The Flyers scored 91.5 to finish first.

The student-run ensemble, created by Framingham High senior Jordan Ramsay, is still undefeated since its creation in 2013.

The ensemble this year is led by students Ryan Gallagher and Ramsay.

Members of the 2017 award-winning ensemble are Heath Bastow, Lauren Casale, Kyle Fields, Gustavo Gomes, Cesar Gray, Sereen Jarrar, Jonathan Katziff, Ian Moore, Alex Qi, Brendan Qi, Kane Steinbrecher, Gallagher, and Ramsay.

The percussion ensemble’s final performance of the year is May 6 at the MICCA Solo and Ensemble Festival at Concord Carlisle High School.
