WASHINGTON DC – Today, Republicans withdrew a health care bill which would have repealed and replaced the Obama administration’s Affordable Care Act.
Democrats called the move a victory, especially in light of a Republican-held Congress and Senate, and President Donald J. Trump calling for the elimination of the Obama health care plan.
“We held off an attack on healthcare,” said Sen. Elizabeth Warren to a standing room only crowd on the campus of Framingham State University tonight, March 24.
“Hardworking Americans voiced their outrage about the Republicans’ devastating cuts to health care coverage – and it worked,” said Congresswoman Katherine Clark, in a statement to the media. “Whenever this Republican Congress and this administration try to attack our rights and roll back the progress we’ve made, we will resist. We will fight back.”
