1 Tonight is the 7th Annual Taste of MetroWest, hosted by the MetroWest Chamber of Commerce. The event is from 5 to 8 at the Sheraton in Framingham. Tickets are $40 each. To purchase tickets click here.
Representatives from the area’s finest restaurants, caterers, gourmet and ethnic markets, gift boutiques, wineries, brew houses and local purveyors of fine liquors will offer delicious samples of food and beverages at this event, which attracted more than 1,000 individuals last year. There will be “People’s Choice” awards for different food and beverage categories, giving “Taste” guests the opportunity to vote for their favorite and decide who is “Best of the MetroWest.”
2. PLAN AHEAD: Tomorrow, Access Framingham and Framingham Source will co-sponsor a live debate on the Framingham charter question that will appear on the April 4 ballot. The debate will feature a trio Charter Commissioners defending the majority report of the Charter Commission, encouraging voters to vote yes for a city form of government vs the author of the minority report of the Charter Commission and two Framingham residents, encouraging voters to vote no to the proposed city charter.
The public can not attend the debate, but instead can watch the debate live at 7. The 90-minute debate will air live on AF-TV on channels 3 (RCN), channel 9 (Comcast), and channel 43 (Verizon) in Framingham. The debate will also be live streamed.
