VFW Post 929 Honors Framingham Police Detective And Framingham Firefighter

FRAMINGHAM – On Sunday, March 19, the Framingham Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 929 held its annual Framingham First Responders recognition awards at the Framingham Elks.

This year’s awards went to Framingham Police detective Jay Ball and Framingham firefighter Tim Campion.

Ball, who has has been a police officer for 13 years, served in Milford before joining the Framingham Police Department. A U.S. Army Veteran, he is assigned to the Framingham Police narcotics division.

Campion has been with the Framingham Fire Department for 21 years, and currently is assigned to Rescue 1 out of Station 5.

A graduate of Framingham State University, he was a registered nurse, before joining the fire department. He is still a licensed and practicing nurse.

Campion is also the organizer of the annual Thankgiving Turkey Classic 5K road race in Framingham.
