UPDATED: Community Rally For Framingham High Hockey Team Sunday

FRAMINGHAM – There will be a community rally for the Framingham High School boys ice hockey team on Sunday, March 19 at Loring Arena.

The Flyers won the Division 1 South championship on Sunday, defeating Braintree in double OT 2-1 to advance to the state finals at the TD Garden.

The Flyers will battle the Spartans of St. Mary’s at 5:45 p.m. in Boston for the MIAA Division 1 state title.

Tickets are already on sale for the March 19 game. Tickets for the MIAA games played at TD Garden are available for advance purchase online at ticketmaster.com for $12 (online only) or in person at the TD Garden Box Office for $15. Click here to order tickets.

The Flyers are 16-6-4, under first-year head coach Will Ortiz.

Framingham High athletic director Paul Spear said the rally will start at 2:30 p.m. outside Loring Arena. The Flyers bus is expected to leave afterwards for Boston.
