Sticco-Ivins Wins 1-Meter NCAA Regional Diving Title

CAMBRIDGE – Wellesley College diver Maura Sticco-Ivins captured first  place on the 1-meter board at the 2017 NCAA Northeast North Regional Diving Championships at MIT’s Zesiger Sports & Fitness Center Pool in Cambridge.

Sticco-Ivins, a junior, scored 471.80 to win the 1-meter regional title for the third time in her career.

She will be aiming for her third-straight 3-meter title on Saturday.

Sticco-Ivins won back-to-back Division 1 State Diving Championships and South Sectional Championships as a junior and senior at Framingham High.

As a freshman at Wellesley College, she won the 2015 NCAA Division III 3-Meter Diving National Champion (500.35) and the 2015 NCAA Division III 1-Meter Diving National Runner-Up (470.80) , and was named an All-American.
