Framingham Police Lt. Stephen Cronin said the police report indicted the car was stolen on Morton Street, while the “keys were in it, running unlocked, and his (owner’s) cellphone and dog were inside.” The stolen vehicle was a dark 2013 Nissan Rogue.
“Framingham police did contact Verizon seeking that they send a ‘ping’ to locate the car, but they declined citing that the circumstances did not ‘qualify’ for a location ping,” said Lt. Cronin Monday morning.
Framingham Police Officers were notified of the stolen car and surrounding towns were issued a be on the look out for it, but it was not located, said Lt. Cronin Monday.
The vehicle was recovered the next day (Sunday) on Beaver Park Drive, said Police.
The dog however is still missing.
She is an 11 years old, white Bichon Frise and was wearing a color with an ID tag, when last seen in the car.
The owner of the dog lives in Hopkinton.
