FRAMINGHAM – Framingham High Principal Elyse Torbert has submitted her resignation.

It is effective July 15. She and her family will be relocating to Arizona to be closer to Ms. Torbert’s family.

Torbert joined Framingham Public Schools in 2005, initially serving the district as a mathematics teacher. She was named Associate Principal, and then Principal when Adam Goldberg resigned.

When the new principal is named, he or she will be the fourth principal at Framingham High since 2014, when Michael Welch resigned to become a Superintendent in Dedham.

Editor’s Note: In full transparency, I have a sophomore at Framingham High.
