Flyers Defeat Wellesley For 8th Win; Nine Seniors To Be Honored Friday

FRAMINGHAM – The Framingham High boys basketball team won its eighth game of the season Tuesday night,

The Flyers defeated Wellesley High 55-39, to go 7-8 overall.

Framingham is now 5-8 in the Bay State Conference.

Senior captain Jared Gordon-Anderson had 9 points and 8 rebounds in the win.

Senior Aaron James had 10 points and 7 rebounds for the Flyers.

“We controlled the game on the defensive end with excellent ball pressure and activity in passing lanes,” said head coach Ben Torbert. “We won the first 3 quarters to up 42-25 after 3.  Balanced scoring and strong team play offensively.”

The Flyers will host the Wildcats of Weymouth on Friday night. Tip off at 6:30.

“It’s a big night for us as it’s our last home game to honor the nine seniors on the team, who have all done a tremendous job of representing our program the right way throughout their tenure at Framingham High,” said Torbert. “We’d love to have a big crowd at Friday’s game to send them out in style.”
