Former Saint Bridget, Brophy Teacher Mary (Donlon) Morrison, 93

FRAMINGHAM – Mary D. (Donlon) Morrison, 93, a longtime resident of Framingham, died peacefully on Sunday, January 15, 2017.

Born in Brooklyn, NY to the late James & Anne (Reilly) Donlon, she was the beloved wife of the late Humphrey W. Morrison.

She received her Bachelor’s Degree from the College of Mt. St. Vincent, and later her Master’s Degree in education from Framingham State.

She started her teaching career at St. Bridget’s School, and then, until her retirement at the Brophy Middle School in Framingham.

A passionate gardener, she enjoyed stained glass art, playing bridge, traveling, and summers on the Cape.

She is survived by her children, Kevin J. & his wife Debra of Hopedale, and Christine M. of Easthampton, her grandson, Brian F. & his wife Kimberly of So. Hamilton, two great grandsons, Luke J. & Drew B., two daughter-in-laws, Christine C. of VA, and Heidi L. FL.  Besides her husband, she was predeceased by her sons Stephen J. and Jeffrey M.

Family and friends will honor and remember her life by celebrating a mass of Christian burial in St. Bridget’s Church, 830 Worcester Road on Saturday, January 21 at  11:30 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Stephen Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made in Mary’s name to:  The Alzheimer’s Association, 480 Pleasant St., Watertown, MA, or Mt. St. Vincent College, 6301 Riverdale Ave., Bronx, NY 10471.
