FRAMINGHAM – Springdale Barrel Room, the second beer venture by the Hendler brothers, will open its doors for he first time in 2017 today, January 14.
Springdale opened on December 15 at 102 Clinton Street, next to Jack’s Abby Beer Hall, but then closed right after Christmas.
Unfortunately there was a licensing issue, and Springdale had to be issued a series of one-day alcohol licenses in December to stay open for a couple of weeks in 2016. And then Springdale closed for three weeks.
Tuesday night, two of the three brothers came before Selectmen, and was granted a new, permanent alcohol license.
Springdale, which features barrel-aged beers, will debut two new ones for its second grand opening. They are a double IPA called ‘Clerical Error’ and am India pala ale called “Good N’You.”
The Springdale Barrel Room will be open Thursdays from 4-10 p.m., Fridays from 4-11 p.m., Saturdays from 11:30 a.m.-11 p.m., and Sundays from 11:30 a.m.-6 p.m.
Originally, the brothers told Selectmen they did not plan to serve food at Springdale, but in re-applying for its licenses, it was also issued one for food. Pizza and a few other limited menu items can be ordered from next door andconsumed at Springdale.
Today only, Springdale is hosting Shuck food truck, which will offer a pop-up raw bar from noon to 4 p.m.
