Mustangs Win Sixth Game In A Row; Defeat South Lancaster

FRAMINGHAM – For the first three games of the season, the Marian High girls team played hard on the court but game away with a loss. But since then, the Mustangs have gone on a streak, winning their next six games.

Last night, Marian defeated South Lancaster 45-33, to go 6-3 on the season.

Junior captain Jane Langan led the team with 24 points. She scored six 3-pointers, as the Mustangs jumped out to an early 5-point lead, and held off each South Lancaster charge to win their sixth consecutive game.

Marian led 26-14, at the half, as Langan outscored the Crusaders herself with 15 points in that half.

Junior Rachel Krueger and sophomore Brooke Sparling keyed a Marian third quarter run by combining for 11 points, as the Mustangs held a double-digit lead for most of the second half.

Marian junior Grace Muldoon (two points, five assists) assisted on three Langan 3’s to put the game away.
