MILTON – Framingham High girls ice hockey team got shut out by Milton High today, on the road.
The Flyers lost to the Wildcats 13-0.
Milton Forward Elena Kapolis scored six goals, including a pure hat trick in the third period.
Framingham’s Chole Willis, in her debut in net, fought hard all game, said head coach Mitch Mortali.
Framingham’s “(Katie) Puumala, Lawson, and (Georgia) Parker created many chances, but Milton golaie Mary O’Connell played well,” said Mortali. She had “great anticipation and reaction time.”
Despite the loss, Mortali said “everyone played and pulled for each other. They continued playing their top line against us, so its skewed. I told the coach what I thought of that, and told our girls what comes around goes around; but I wouldn’t do that and it violates the unwritten rules of hockey.”
“It is what it is, and we’ll get back to work tomorrow. I told them they had each other’s backs and still found positives, and that’s what is most important,” said Mortali.
