5 Things You Need To Know Today in Framingham: Tuesday, Dec. 27

1 Due to the Christmas holiday, trash and recyclables collection are on a delayed scheduled this week. If your collection day is normally Monday, it will be today, Tuesday, Dec. 27.

2. Today is the 4th Annual Bobby Brown Cup at Loring Arena. The puck will drop at 4:30 p.m. in the annual game between Framingham North and Framingham South hockey players. Coach Bobby Brown, who was active in Framingham hockey for 50 years, died in 2013. Since then, the alumni game was re-named in his honor. The game benefits the Framingham hockey program.

3.  The Christa McAuliffe Library will hold a free screening of the movie Pete’s Dragon at 2 p.m.

  • Framingham High boys hockey will battle Marshfield at 7:50 p.m. at Loring Arena as part of MyHockey Live Tournament.

  • Marian High girls basketball plays at 4 p.m. at Marian High School
  • Marian High boys basketball will host Baystate Academy Charter at 6 p.m.
