FRAMINGHAM – Fuller Middle School’s Drama Company will stage three performances of the Broadway musical Little Shop Of Horrors this weekend.
The musical, which was made into a movie starring Rick Moranis and Steve Martin, is about a floral shop employee who comes upon a flesh-eating plant he names Audrey II, after the co-worker he has a crush on.
The R&B-singing carnivorous plant promises fame and fortune to Seymour, the floral assistant, if he continues to feed him blood.
Opening night is Friday, Dec. 2 at 7 p.m. There are two performances on Saturday at 2 and 7 p.m.
Tickets can be purchased ahead of time at www.showtix4u.com. Tickets are $10 online and $12 at the door. The center section of the theatre provides reserved seating and the sides will be sold as general admission. Please purchase your tickets early because this show is certain to sell out.
The Fuller production is under the direction of Teri Shea, who also choreographed the show.
There are about 50 students in the cast and another dozen backstage.
Flower shop employee Seymour is played by Alex McLaughlin. Dana Goldberg portrays Audrey.
Ryan McIrney plays Orin, the dentist, who loves to inflict pain.
Winston Lewis is the R&B voice of the plant Audrey II.
Tristan Elkins is the shop owner Mr. Mushnik.
