5 Things You Need To Know Today: Thanksgiving 2016

1 The 22nd Annual Framingham Turkey Classic Road Race starts at 8 a.m. today. The 3.1 mile race begins and ends at the Framingham Police Station.

2. The 111th meeting between Framingham High and Natick High football takes place at Bowditch Field at 10 a.m. Admission is $10 adults, $5 students and children.

There will be a ceremony to honor seniors before the game. Framingham Source will be at the game.

For the first time, the football game will be streamed live. View streaming here: www.framingham.k12.ma.us/Page/4051.  The life streaming is a collaboration between Access Framingham, FHS Video Production, the public school’s technology department and the Town of Framingham’s technology department.


3. Today, more than 2,000 individuals will be served a Thanksgiving meal at Eagles Hall on Park Street from noon to 6 p.m. as part of the 28th Annual Curtis Family Thanksgiving. Last night, volunteers shopped potatoes, sliced onions, peeled squash and carrots, and more in preparation for the annual community event. Members of the Framingham High boys hockey team, girls hockey team, field hockey team, boys swim team, and even girls swim team participated in the prep, as did Framingham Girl Scouts, Boys Scouts and the Rotary Club of Framingham.



4. The 7th Annual MetroWest Boot Camp Thanksgiving Day fundraiser takes place today from 6 to 7 a.m. at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Natick. Cost is $20 per person and $50 per family maximum.
