FRAMINGHAM – The public is invited to the Christa McAuliffe Library branch Thanksgiving weekend for the unveiling of a memorial installation of images and words to honor the first teacher in space and Framingham native Christa McAuliffe.
The event is scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 27 from 2 to 4 p.m.
The exhibit was designed by David Bernitz Williams, who will be on hand to answer questions. Also scheduled to attend is Christa McAuliffe’s sister Lisa Bristol.
The Framingham library branch is named for the late teacher in space Christa Corrigan McAuliffe, who grew up in Framingham, and graduated from Marian High and Framingham State. She tragically died when the NASA space shuttle Challenge exploded in January of 1986.
The exhibit was funded by the Framingham Public Library Foundation.
