FRAMINGHAM — The Police Chief in the Town of Framingham is taking a medical leave of absence.
Deputy Police Chief Steven Trask has been appointed acting police chief for the Town of Framingham.
Framingham Police Chief Ken Ferguson, who was appointed Police Chief in October 2013, announced on Wednesday to the department that he was having surgery and would be out for the rest of 2016. The Chief has a contract through June 2019.
“Chief Ferguson’s medical leave has nothing to do with his duties as Chief,” said Framingham Selectmen Chair Cheryl Tully Stoll. “I wish him a quick recovery and look forward to his return.”
