FRAMINGHAM – The community is invited to a bonfire on Wednesday, Nov. 23 at 6:30 p.m. at Bowditch Field.
The bi-annual event is held to show community spirit and support for the Framingham High football team, who will battle Thanksgiving Day rival Natick High at Bowditch Field on Nov. 24 at 10 a.m.
This year’s fire starters will be the former Framingham Director of Parks and Recreation Robert Merusi and former Framingham Park Commissioner Kevin Salvi.
Activities at the bonfire will include a DJ and a performance by the Framingham High cheerleaders.
The free event is scheduled to end at 8:30 p.m.
The bonfire in 2014 was cancelled, due to a pending snowstorm.
