SLIDESHOW: Keefe-Marian Cross Country Sprints To Seventh Win of Season

FRAMINGHAM – The combined Marian-Keefe Tech boys cross-country team won its seventh meet of the season yesterday, Oct. 25.

The boys defeated Assabet Valley 16-47.

The combined team is now 7-3 on the season, with the league meet scheduled on Friday afternoon.

“In a stunning burst of speed, sophomore Sam St. George edged out his teammates to win the race,” said coach Chris Collins.

The top four runners across the finish line were all from Marian-Keefe Tech, and all at 19.27 minutes.

Eight of the first 10 runners across the finish line were Marian-Keefe Tech runners on Tuesday afternoon.

Finishing second was Declan Walsh, with Januario Carreiro capturing third place. Kevin Lucas-Torres was fourth.

Sophomore Eric Zhang was sixth in 20:34 minutes.

Senior Noah Miller was seventh in 20:50 minutes.

Senior Sal Maglione was eighth in 21 minutes flat.

Sophmore Howard Yang was ninth in 21:14 minutes and senior Mike Healey crossed the finish line in 10th place in 21:27 minutes.
