Dante DeSantis, 91, a resident of Framingham for 58 years, died peacefully Saturday October 1, 2016 at home surrounded by family after a period of declining health.
He was the beloved husband of the late Mae (McHugh) Desantis who died in 2003 and the devoted father of Darlene Mary DeSantis and Joseph Dante DeSantis both of Framingham.
He was pre-deceased by his sisters, Marietta (DeSantis) Picard and Rosetta DeSantis and is survived by many nieces and nephews.
Born and raised in Newton, he was the son of the late Antonio and Maria (Campagna) DeSantis.
A Marine Corps. veteran of World War II, Dante worked for many years as a foreman in the construction industry building high rise buildings for Wasserman Development and Princeton Properties until retiring in his eighties.
He enjoyed golf at Saddle Hill in Hopkinton and at the Wayland Golf Courses and trips to Foxwoods. Dante’s family would like to extend a grateful thank you to the Framingham Union Hospital Intensive Care Unit, doctors, nurses and staff for their patience, effort and care.
Private services will be held at the family’s convenience.
In accordance with his wishes, there are no visiting hours.
